Does everyone have a guardian angel?
Although Scripture does not explicitly state this, many
commentators feel that this could be true, at least for believers. Certainly, given the
innumerable number of the angels and God's love for His own people, it would be a logical
conclusion. Scripturally, it appears that children, at least, do have guardian angels
(Matthew 18:10).
Whether or not every believer has one, there are certainly
what can only be termed "guardian angels"--those angels whom God sends at
specific times to guard, encourage and protect His own. Of course, this may also occur
among unbelievers when it suits God's purposes. Obviously, many non-believers who will yet
come to faith in Christ may face personal crises or life-threatening situations that
require angelic deliverance if they are ever going to survive in order to become
Christians (cf., Hebrews 1:14).
Angels can touch our lives at any moment. We can rest
assured that should angelic intervention be necessary to fulfill God's purposes, it will
happen.
Are popular angels related
to Unidentified Flying Objects?
Modern fascination with UFOs has grown by leaps and bounds
since the first sighting by Kenneth Arnold in 1947. Today, the field known as ufology is a
growing industry with scores of organizations around the world, a least a dozen government
investigations and literally millions of sightings--including thousands of alleged UFO
entity contacts and/or abductions. Most people think that UFOs are either hoaxes,
misinterpretations, hallucinations, or actual visits from extraterrestrial civilizations.
Probably the last conclusion they would arrive at is that
UFOs are an angelic phenomenon, let alone a product of the power of fallen angels. But
this is exactly what they are. Off and on for twenty years co-author John Weldon has
researched this field and has written three books, including The Facts On UFOs and
Other Supernatural Phenomena in which he has presented startling and convincing
evidence that UFOs can only be explained by recourse to demonology.
Do popular angels appear in Near
Death Experiences (NDEs)?
Near death research also indicates the modern influence of
"angels." Almost fifteen million people have had what is called a near-death
experience. This is where clinically dead individuals have the perception of being out of
the body, going through a tunnel, seeing a light, being enveloped by the light and having
some form of contact with a being of light, the dead or angels. One of the most common
elements is the appearance of a "being of light" (often interpreted as an angel)
who guides the dying across the threshold of death. In fact, many psychic nurses claim to
see angels appear to their patients at the moment of death to guide their spirit into the
afterlife.
Angels may be a frequent occurrence, or at least
perception, in NDEs but the messages they give are no different from those given in the
spiritistic tradition in general. Unfortunately, the deep NDE is characteristically an
initiation into the world of the occult, with far-reaching consequences. In The Facts On
Life After Death we have supplied information evaluating the near-death experience, and
why we believe that the "being of light," "angels," etc. are not who
they claim to be. We refer the reader to this booklet for more information.
